It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dai Choon Lee, at the age of 85 on December 20, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.
He was a devoted husband, father, grand-father and friend. His love, strength and wisdom will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Born in Hong Kong on February 28, 1939, Dai Choon immigrated to Montreal in 1961, where he built a life filled with hard work, love and dedication. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to become a successful restaurant owner who always greeted every customer with a big happy smile. Despite his busy work life, he carved out time for his other passions.
He enjoyed quality time with his family, fishing, mahjong, Chinese chess, sudoku puzzles, journaling and tending to his garden.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Miu Yin Lee with whom he shared 65 years of marriage. Together they raised five sons: Conrad, Sylvester, Richard, Brian and David. He is also survived by his four daughters-in-law: Marilyn, Cidalia, Gie and Angela. His adorable eight grandchildren: Marissa, Christopher, Jarod, Tyler, Caleb, Kyle, Kyara and Aryana will greatly miss their “Yeh Yeh”.
His warmth, wisdom and love will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His legacy will live on in the love he gave, the lessons he taught and the memories he leaves behind.
