It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Cornelius (Con) Joseph Bennett, of Rushoon announces his passing. Con passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, at the age of 82.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of precious memories are his wife Patricia (Patsy) of 62 years; son, James Bennett (Sonya); granddaughters, Mallory & Chelsea, and their mom, Susan Carter; brothers, Joseph Bennett and William Bennett (Irene); sisters-in-law, Agnes Bennett, Josephine Bennett, Mary Bambrick and Margaret Kelly; plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
Con was predeceased by his parents, James & Mary Bennett; brothers, James, Patrick and Richard Bennett; sisters, Helene Whalen (Cyril), Violet Ivey (James), Bertha Picco (Cornelius), Carrie Lowery (Bob) and Annie Picco (Charles); sister-in-law, Alice Bennett; parents-in-law, Mary & Robert Hurley; and brother-in-law, Tom Hurley.
In honoring his wishes, cremation will take place.
A Graveside Burial will take place at Christ The King Roman Catholic Cemetery, Rushoon on a date and time to be announced.
The Bennett Family extends a sincere thank you to the staff at Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, especially Dr. Oni and social workers, Cynthia Norman and Kimberly Vaters.
In his memory, in-lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation.
