Our Mother Mary Lorna Colleen (McNamara) Marinacci has peacefully been ushered into heaven on Wednesday April 3rd, 2024 at the age of 94.
Colleen will be deeply missed by her children Cathy Davis (Jim), Donna Marinacci, Alfred John Marinacci and Pat Mascioli (Phil). Her memories will be cherished by her grandchildren Jennifer Leger (Jason), Don Davis (Christina), David Mascioli (Kayli), Kelly Mascioli (Jesse) and her adored great-grandchildren Jaxon and Ella Leger, James and Bethany Davis, Lauren and Quinn Mascioli; her youngest brother Father Terrance McNamara OMI, and sister-in-law Arden.
She’s reunited in eternal peace with her husband Alfie (1968), her daughter Kim Gemma Marinacci (2016), her parents Mary and Fred McNamara, and her brothers Reginal (Irene) and Darcy.
She took great pride in her relationships with her nieces and nephews as well as numerous extended family members, great friends and neighbours whose lives she touched with her warmth and compassion.
Colleen was a Timmins Gal that loved to talk about the history of Timmins and was always invested in the world around her. She was dedicated and passionate to all of her commitments in her life. A strong person, she truly believed in the power of prayer and doing random acts of kindness. Colleen was a Life Long Member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Women’s League where she served passionately most of her life by sharing her time and talents for this National movement and Local Counsel.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Timmins District Hospital, St. Mary’s Garden – TDH Unit and the wonderful caring Team at Extendicare.
Cremation will take place. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 12 p.m. (noon) at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will follow at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at LESSARD Funeral and Cremation Centre. Remembrance donations made to O’Gorman High School (Athletic) – Gemma Marinacci Bursary, Timmins District Hospital Foundation or Sacred Heart Church Building Fund would be greatly appreciated.
