Obituary of Clayton Edward King
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Clayton Edward King at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Center, Grand Falls-Windsor. He was 89 years of age.
Born in Stephenville Crossing, NL, where he will be laid to rest at a later date with his father and son.
Clayton worked for many years with his own company Kings logging. He was a fisherman and retired after working 20 plus years in Alberta. If you knew him, you would know how he loved to tell stories of his past, working in Alberta with his sons, of his father who was a boxer and the love for his wife who he met in the sanatorium. He told these stories to Nurses, Doctors, patients and whoever would listen until his last days, where he spent the last five weeks in the Grand Falls Hospital.
Thanks to everyone there who took extra care of him and took the time to sit and listen to him even when you were busy. He will leave a hole in our hearts and will be truly missed and never forgotten. We will love you forever xoxo.
He is predeceased by his parents Edward Alexander and Viola; brother Joe; sisters Mildred and Theresa; sons Bernard and Faron King; grandsons Justin and Jordan King. He leaves to mourn his wife Hazel King; sons Ivan King, Derek (Michelle) King, Junior (Judy) King, Keith (Cecila) King, Sheldon (Donna) King, Bruce (Patty) King; daughter-in-law Wand King; daughters Patricia (David) Baker, Stephanie (Jim) Hemeon, Starlene (Todd) Cole, Valerie (Kirk) King; 30 plus grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
