Obituary
Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 15th, 2024, Clayton G. Newhook, of New Harbour, aged 70 years.
Predeceased by his parents Irene and Douglas Newhook; parents-in-law Woodrow and Bertha Cooper; brothers, Allan (Brud) and David Newhook; sister, Shirley Akerman; and special uncle, Gerald Newhook.
Leaving to mourn with broken hearts and cherished memories are his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Bonnie; children, Janice (Stephen) and Jeremy (Juanita); precious grandchildren Ryan, Ashley, Aaron and Shane; brother, Glenn (Michelle) and sisters, Elaine (EIi, predeceased), Sandra (Paul) and Doreen (Tony); brothers and sisters-in-law; David Akerman, Rose Newhook, Mary (Nelson), Phyllis (Loyola), Mondon (Yvonne), Dale (Dave), Georgie (Earl), Merrill (Audrey) and Keith (Louise); as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
A visitation will be held from Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo, on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm.
A funeral service to celebrate Clayton’s life will be held from the Salvation Army TBS Corps, Dildo, on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, New Harbour.
Donations in Clayton’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
