It is with heavy hearts that family announce the passing of Christian “Christopher” Welder on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in Regina, SK; at 92 years old. He took great pride in his family and grandchildren. Chris was passionate about his quarter horses and the work he did with the quarter horses association and judging.
Chris is survived by his children Lyle (Susan) Welder, Penny (Bob) Lalonde, Shelley Welder and Kelly (Joyce) Welder; grandchildren, Christine (Jack), Paul (Steven), Michael, Darren, Travis (Allison), Chad (Chelsea); great grandchildren Tate, Bree, Jill, Gwen, Hugh, Dawn, John, Ryan, Liliam; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Chris was predeceased by his beloved wife Loraine Welder; infant daughter Brenda Lynn Welder; parents Ignatius and Marian Welder; and his 12 brothers and sisters.
In keeping with Chris’s wishes no funeral service will take place at this time. A Private Family Graveside Service will take place at Riverside Memorial Park, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (2300 Yonge St #1200, Toronto, ON M4P 1E4) or the Canadian Cancer Society (200-325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5).
