Charlotte Lubin (Née Silverman)
Peacefully, at home, on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at age ninety-eight, surrounded by her loving family. Devoted wife of the late Irving Lubin for sixty- three years. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Sheldon and Sandy Lubin, Cindy Lubin and the late David Lorsch, Randy and Eric Abecassis, and Lynda Weiner-Lubin. Proud Bubby of Amanda and Harold Hersh, Jesse and Gwendy Lubin, Gab Lubin and Cat Thompson; Scott and Casille Lorsch, Hilary Lorsch and Zach Josephs; Michael Abecassis and Jenna Wasserman, Dr. Talia Abecassis and Justin Friedman, Jais Abecassis and Alex Shiller. Adoring Great-Bubby Charlotte of Dylan and Brody Hersh, Nathan and Zoe Lubin; Sadie and Harry Friedman; Ryder and Eden Abecassis, and Maxwell Abecassis. Sister of the late Dorothy; and sister-in-law of Sybil and the late David Weigensberg. Charlotte lived a long and beautiful life. She loved reading, travelling, learning, cooking, and spending time in the country. More than anything she loved her “jewels”, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was funny and feisty until the end. We will miss her. Heartfelt gratitude to Rebecca for your friendship and care of Charlotte over the last nine years. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, January 26 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Canadian Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her daughter Randy’s home.
