Ramsay, Carolyn Jane December 27, 1939 – July 11, 2024
It’s with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mum and grandmother, Carolyn, affectionately known as “Gramsay”, who left us peacefully with her family by her side. She is survived by her daughter, Susan, and her adored grandchildren: Curtis, Matthew and Michael, as well as many cousins near and far. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Mason (“Dear”) and we’re sure they are enjoying a gin & tonic together now.
Born and raised in Edmonton, Carolyn earned her BA at the University of Alberta. She later made her home in West Vancouver where she was a part of the fabric of the community; she loved to ski, boat, and play golf and bridge with her friends at Capilano Golf Course. Throughout her life, Carolyn enjoyed travelling to all corners of the world
The family would like to thank the amazing doctors, nurses and staff of 4 East at Lions Gate Hospital, as well as the team at Hollyburn House, for their all their kindness, care and compassion.
By request, there is no formal service planned. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
