Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at The Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Peterborough, on Tuesday, November 07, 2023. Jack Cannon age 86 of Peterborough, was the beloved husband of Catherine Cannon. Loving father of Lori Moran, Michael Cannon (Brenda), Kimberley Cannon, Kathi-Jo Short (Randy), John Cannon (Nicole), Jennifer Huot (Norm), and Tara Cannon (Michelle). Loved grandfather of Jason, Amy, Jamie, Joel, Leah, Joanna, Gregory, Jordan, Liam, Michael, Shannon, Christian, Aislyn, and Coulson. Great-grandfather of Shaydon, Tavish, Ashton, Taiya, Allison, Aiden, Mason, Landon, Arbella, Maeve, Malcolm, June, and Ayla. Beloved brother of Pat, Marilyn, Lorraine, and Mary, Predeceased by his parents Daniel and Johanna Cannon and his sisters Theresa, and Delores. Fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. Jack was born and raised in Maynooth and was a plumber and pipe fitter during his working career, living in Oshawa and Peterborough. Jack’s family will receive relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Road, Maynooth) on Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church (51 Hwy 127, Maynooth) on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Malachy Ekezie presiding. Interment at St. Ignatius Martyr Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hastings-Prince Edward Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.
