He died as he lived: with his wife by his side, on June 24, 2024 at 79 years of age. Beloved husband and best friend of Josie, with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage. Loving father of Peter (Renée), Josie (Brett), Sam, and Enza. Proud and cherished Nonno to Connor, Isabella, Justin, Julia, Giovanni, Elisa, Attillio and Nico. Son of the late Pietro and Giuseppa Mazza (Montallegro). Dear brother of Tony (Catarina), Dino (Pina), the late Gaetano (Kathy), Mike (Renee), and John (Jennifer). Son-in-law of the late Salvatore and Vincenza Russo (Montallegro). Brother-in-law of the late Leonarda (Francois), Giuseppe (Marilyn), Giacoma (Angelo), Rina (Terry), Joanne (Peter), Enza (John), and Sammi (Randy). Special Zio to many nieces and nephews.
Proud founder of Riviera Pizza in Riverside, he and Josie raised their family there for 36 years. Together, they then retired to their beloved trailer where they enjoyed many fires and espresso with family and friends. He was a proud member of the Caboto Club. Charlie loved his pasta and loved to dance. He also loved to play the fool for children, doing anything and everything to make them smile. His passing has left a hole in all of our hearts, and he will be deeply missed.

Visitation on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Prayers at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 8:15 a.m. from Families First, 3260 Dougall Avenue, South Windsor (519-969-5841) to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral Mass at 9 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
