It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Bryce Hardy on Monday, December 2, 2024, to be with his Lord Jesus Christ. He was surrounded by his family at Ross Memorial Hospital.
Bryce was the beloved husband of Marlene Hardy (Kimble) for over 66 years. Cherished father of Brenda (Cory), Sandra (Jeff), loving grandpa to Mitchell (predeceased), Scott (Shannon ), Johnny (Shawna) and Holly. Great grandfather to Sonny and Hayley. Loving brother to Lorraine and Lynda (predeceased).
Bryce had a special role as a father figure to his nieces and nephews Karen, Wanda, Wayne (predeceased), Stewart, Terry and Brian.
Bryce was born on September 29, 1936 in Lindsay, Ontario. He worked on the family farm at a young age before moving on to Genaral Motors for a few years, and then on to Canadian Tire. His long-term employment was at Union Carbide (Viskase) where he worked for over 30 years as a supervisor.
After retiring, Bryce spent 10 years at Colborne Lodge as a superintendent. He was also actively involved in the Fairview Baptist Church. His many passions included carpentry work, antique cars, and spending time at his grandsons’ sporting events. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
A visitation will be held at Mackey Funeral Home in Lindsay, Ontario on Monday, December 9 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm.
The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 10 at Fairview Baptist Church in Lindsay, Ontario at 12:00pm.
Donations in memory of Bryce Hardy can be given to Heritage Christian School. (www.hcslindsay.ca/)
