In Loving Memory of Bruno Cretaro
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruno Cretaro, who left us on December 25, 2023, at the age of 84. Bruno was a loving husband, proud father, and cherished Nonno, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, love, and beautiful memories.
Bruno was born on October 20, 1939 in Colleberardi, Frosinone, Italy, and throughout his 84 years, he touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. Bruno was a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration to all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marcella, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship. Together, they built a home filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished moments. Bruno’s devotion to Marcella was a testament to the enduring power of love.
Bruno was the proud father of Franco and Dina (Joe Giambattista). His love for his children knew no bounds, and he took great pride in witnessing their achievements and milestones. As a father, Bruno provided constant support, offered guidance, and a reassuring shoulder to lean on during both joyous and challenging times.
His role as a cherished Nonno was one that brought immense joy to Bruno. Andrew, Ava, and Olivia brought joy to his heart, and his face would light up with pure happiness in their presence. Bruno’s love for his grandchildren was immeasurable, and the memories they created together will be treasured for generations to come.
Bruno will be dearly missed by his siblings, Nello (Silvana) and Ines (late Fernando), who shared in the joys and sorrows of life with him. Their bond was a testament to the strength of family and the enduring connections that withstand the test of time.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada in Bruno’s memory.
As we mourn the loss of Bruno Cretaro, let us remember him not with tears but with gratitude for the incredible life he lived, the love he shared, and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him.
May he rest in peace.
Visitations for Bruno will be held at DeMarco Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8003 Weston Rd., Woodbridge, On. tel- 905-850-9500) on Thursday December 28, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. & 6-9 p.m.. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday December 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Parish (2100 Jane St., North York, On.) with an Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens (1810 Albion Rd., Etobicoke, On.)
