Mr. Bruce Bates
Peacefully at Extendicare Port Hope on Thursday February 29, 2024 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Muriel Bates. Loving father of Lennard (Penny) who was by his side to the end. Grandpa of Jesse (Laura).
Friends are invited to come and have a final goodbye on Saturday March 9th from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at The Ross Funeral Chapel.
Followed by a grave side service at Port Hope Union Cemetery. Bruce will also be missed by his large extended family and many friends.
If desired memorial donations to Port Hope Community Care Northumberland or to a plant a tree program.
The family would like to thank Port Hope Extendicare for all of their wonderful care, as well as Anne McMurray for letting Bruce’s family know about his passing and Pete and Jan Jones for all the rides to and from Extendicare and their support during this difficult time.
