Obituary of Brandon Wayne Vaterlaus
Suddenly, on July 6th 2023 Brandin (B-Man) Vaterlaus in his 28th year gained his wings and was taken from this world too soon, born March 16th, 1995, he lived in West Lorne his whole life.
Saying Brandin will be missed is an understatement. He had the biggest smile that could light up the whole room and the kind of heart that loved deeply. He showed up in your time of need and was always there to talk or listen. He had a way of making you feel as if you were the exact person he was looking to talk to.
He had a love of fishing, hunting and eating things his family wouldn’t. If there was a pond that had fishing potential, you know he would find it. Grandpa would take him hunting but Brandin would always have a hard time being quiet in the tree stand; he loved to talk! Every Thanksgiving we would skeet shoot and Brandin was usually the winner making us all want to kick him out of the game… Family was everything to him and he would do anything for them. His other passion was working in concrete with the boys. He tried to explain it multiple times and we still didn’t understand, but we know he loved it. His work crew was his second family and he truly looked up to them.
Brandin had so many friends, but we know him and his best friend Cole Kalita are up there skating and having a drink!
He was loved by so many but most of all by his mother and father Georgina Collins and the late Steven Vaterlaus (99), sister Mistycal Vaterlaus, his nephew Zaden Smith and his grandmother Helen Vaterlaus.
Aunts/Uncles Jennifer Collins, Michelle (late Brad) Jackson, Tim (Montana) Collins, Heidi (Mike) Vanderloo, Joe (Rain) Casey and many more.
Cousins Stephanie (Shane) Briand, Jillian (Tyler) Gowanlock, Jodie Jackson (Jason), Jaelynn Jackson (Bryson), Aurora, Ella, Rhea Collins, Kathleen Casey, Tara Vanderloo and Matthew Vanderloo.
Predeceased by his grandparents George and Marlene Collins, Karl Vaterlaus and uncle Brad Jackson.
Missed deeply by his favorite girl gang: Audrey, Marlena, Everley, Leslie and Viola.
Friends are welcome to join the family for a visitation on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Denning’s of West Lorne. A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday at 11 am at St. Mary’s Church, West Lorne.
Interment will take place at Evergreen cemetery at a later date.
