Obituary For Bonny Anne Cochrane
Bonny Anne Cochrane, resident of the County of Grande Prairie, AB, near Beaverlodge, AB, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at the age of 65 years.
Bonny was born May 25, 1957, to Evelyn (nee Ford) and Jim Cochrane. Her arrival completed her mom’s vision of family, 2 boys and 2 girls. Bonny became the 4th “B” to her older siblings: Bobby, Billy, Betty.
Bonny had a unique outgoing personality and was always willing to help others, even if they were complete strangers. She was never afraid to speak her mind, put her all into her work, or sing at the top of her lungs. Bonny’s special joy was being with her family and especially with her daughter and three granddaughters, “her girls” whom she loved fiercely. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and had a strong love for her farm, river-bottom property, greenhouse, and of course all of her animals. She was up for any outdoor activity and for traveling around the world.
Through her work as a Hairstylist, owner/operator of “Hair in Motion” in Beaverlodge in the 70’s and 80’s, Bonny developed special relationships with many community members. She was delighted to renew a number of these relationships and form many new friendships in her role as hair care provider at the Hythe Pioneer Home over the last number of years.
Bonny will forever be lovingly remembered by her daughter Fharon Clovis (Blake Shmyr); granddaughters: Pyper, Eberly and Karver Shmyr; as well as immediate family, cousins, and many friends.
Bonny was predeceased by her father Jim Cochrane; her mother Evelyn (nee Ford) Cochrane; as well as her step-father Ted Gammon.
