Peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre on Sunday, April 7th, 2024 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Merilyn Banks. Dear father of Stephen Banks and Scott Banks. Cherished grandfather of Kelsey (Billy), Jacob (Emily) and Liam (Morgan). Predeceased by his father William Banks – 1976 and his mother Hilda Banks – 1999, his brother Emerson Banks – 1998 and his wife Lois – 1994 and his sister Diane Banks – 1957. Bonnar will also be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Service will be held at Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre 21 First St Orangeville, Ontario on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 at 2:30 pm. with visitation beginning at 1:30 pm. Memorial donations to High Country United Church or Headwaters Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Bonnar in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 22nd Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
