The death occurred at Souris Hospital of Ivan Leroy Birt, formerly of Pisquid, aged 56 years. Lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Kerrie Ann and Kyler Sharpley; his Parents, Doreen (nee O’Brien) and the late Roy Birt; and siblings, Jan Sock (Darcy) and Perry Birt (Amy Lundrigan), as well as his special nieces, nephews and cousins. Ivan will also be dearly missed by his aunts and uncles, Louise Sheppard, Donnell O’Brien (Susan), Claude O’Brien (Nancy), Lloyd O’Brien (Jane), and Anthony O’Brien (Rose). Besides his father Roy, he was predeceased by his aunt, Joyce O’Brien, and uncle, Pat O’Brien. Resting at North Shore Funeral Home, Morell for visitation on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 5 – 8 p.m. Funeral service to be held at Mt. Stewart United Church, Mt. Stewart on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the People’s Cemetery, Mt. Stewart. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ivan’s memory to Bayview Lodge in Souris.
