William (Bill) Logue
November 16, 1929 – July 4, 2023
Bill peacefully passed, with his family by his side, at Huronlea Home For The Aged on the evening of July 4th, 2023. Predeceased by his wife Lynn (2011) and daughter Michele Masowa (Roman) (2021). Survived by his daughters, Lori Guzara (Joe), Lisa Frischknecht (Henry), Deborah Logue and grandchildren, Jordan Guzara, Alexa Guzara, Nicholas Frischknecht, Henri Frischknecht, Kurtis Frischknecht, Stefania Masowa, and Aleksandra Masowa.
Bill worked the family farm for many years. He taught his nephews the value of hard work and appreciation of the land. After selling the farm and moving into the town of Blyth, Bill completed his working years as a heavy equipment operator and enjoyed working outdoors.
Nothing pleased Bill more then being able to talk about crop yields and milk quota unless it was to talk about his children and grandchildren. He was quick to share his life experiences and wisdom with others. At times he could be strong willed and resistant to change and yet had the biggest heart and would do anything to help others. He loved playing a mean hand of euchre and pepper with the guys in town on many afternoons.
Bill and Lynn enjoyed cross country road trips and adventures. In their younger years, pulling the trailer and giving their children the opportunity to see the world. As adults there were many treks to Vegas and other sunny destinations. Bill was excited at the age of 82 to make the trip back to the motherland of Ireland and see his family’s farm. He was fortunate to meet one of his great aunts.
Bill was not one for words of affection although people always knew where they stood. He had a strong personality, generous nature, and a force to be reckoned with. He devoted many years to the community as a member of the Blyth Lions Club and the Blyth Masons. He was always willing to give back where he could.
Bill’s spunky sense of humour and sarcastic wit will live on through his family. Sadly missed yet never forgotten!
Our family has chosen to have a private service. His burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Listowel, Ontario at 1pm on Monday, July 10, 2023 for family and friends to attend.
