Obituary of Betty Ann Belec
Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital, surrounded by the love and prayers of her family, Betty Ann left to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the age of 79. Loved and cherished wife of Peter for 57 years. Daughters Kathryn Tevc (Joe) and Lisa Hapanovich (Paul) consider their mom an inspiration and full of unconditional love. Michael and Sarah adored their Grandma and will miss her dearly. Predeceased by her parents Rose and Frank Marasco. Daughter-in-law of the late Jean and the late Wilfred Belec. Betty Ann shared many special memories with all of her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was much loved by her late aunt and uncle Rita and Walter Pszeniczny. She will be greatly missed by her cousins Doris and Nick Pszeniczny and Lori and Robert Lewkowitz and families. Betty Ann leaves behind many loyal friends whom she loved very much.
Friends and family are invited to visit at St. Jerome Church (26 Carmel Road) on Monday, December 16, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. with Father Alex Saurianthadathil officiating. Memorial donations to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be greatly appreciated by the family.
We wish to thank Dr. Laviolette, Dr. DiFabio, Dr. Landry and the extraordinary nurses on 3A and ICU at the Sault Area Hospital for their exemplary care. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
