Bernie Roy Heasler Obituary
Passed away at Perley Health Long Term Care in Ottawa on Wednesday November 13, 2024 at the age of 92. Much loved husband of the late Shirley (née MacDonald). Loving father of Linda Piva (Elio), Bernie Jr. and Sharol Bradley (Gary). Cherished grandfather of Cassandra Drady, Jacqueline Watson (Desmond) and Dominic Piva (Lindsay) and family. Great grandfather of Chloe, Jacob, Delilah, Sydnee, Breelynn and Quinton. Dear brother of Keith Heasler. Predeceased by 4 brothers Hugh, Stan, Gordon and John Heasler and by 1 sister Winona Perry. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Tompkins Funeral Home on Tuesday November 19 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday November 20 at 11:00am. Internment Gananoque Cemetery. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the Perley Health and Rideau Care Palliative Care team for the excellent care Bernie received. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to Perley Health would be appreciated by the family.
