It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Benjamin James Haley of Lamaline announces his passing. Ben passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, October 29th, 2023, at the age of 75.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife of 54 years, Betty; his daughters, Darlene Haley (Norman Anthony) of St. John’s and Michelle Haley (Keith Croke) of St. John’s; 6 grandchildren, Scott, Chantal, Jasmine, Dylan, Alicia, Hailey; great-granddaughter Anna; sisters, Marion Marcinov, Roberta Lambe, Ann Lambe (Clayton); sisters-in-law, Vera Harnett, Janet Harris (Eric); brother-in-law James Cake (Bernice Stacey); many nieces and nephews;
good friend Calvin Murphy; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Ben was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Virginia Haley; parents-in-law, James and Dorothy Cake; sister Gwen Haley, Minnie Etchegary (Isaac), Betty Young (Murray), Beatrice Slaney (Alex); brother Alphonse Haley; brothers-in-law, John Marcinov, Roy Lambe, Les Harnett; sisters-in-law, Virginia Cake, Baby Cake; special nephew Jimmy Harris.
The Haley Family will be accepting visitors at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Lamaline on
Friday, November 3rd, 2023 from
1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
A Celebration of Life and Funeral Service for Ben will take place at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Lamaline on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 at 2:30 pm. Inurnment to follow at St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, in Ben’s memory, donations may be made to The St. Mary’s Anglican Church.
