It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barry Bailey Perzow, on Friday, March 1, 2024 at his home in Gladstone, New Jersey, with his wife and daughter by his side. Barry was born in Montreal on March 21, 1940. Son of Rena and Lou Perzow, and stepson of Gwen Perzow. Beloved husband of JoAnn Massen Issenman. Father and father-in-law of Angela Perzow and Christopher Pelz, and Anthony Perzow. Grandfather of Harrison Pelz, and Rocky Perzow, and Stevie Perzow. Brother of Brenda Perzow (London, England), and Michael Perzow (Vancouver, British Columbia).
Barry was an avid runner with the YMHA Wolf Pack, as well as an accomplished guitarist. He became a leader in the natural foods industry. He was President of Capers Whole Foods in Vancouver, British Columbia, and later was the founder of Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy of Boulder, Colorado, where he lived for twenty years. He taught us to sing, to play music, and to take proactive care of ourselves. He will be in our hearts forever and his spirit will be in the winds of the blue skies and majestic mountains of Whistler, British Columbia where he loved to ski with his family.
