Passed away peacefully at The Dundas Manor on Tuesday May 21st. Audrey McLaren in her 91st year, beloved wife of the late Fred McLaren. Loving Mom of Carl McLaren (Karen), Marlene Melvin (Bill) and predeceased by infant son David McLaren. Dearest Nana to Brittany Melvin (Rob). Dear sister of Alfred Gain (Bernice), Alvin Gain (late Marilyn) and predeceased by Aileen Nicoll (Ken) and Alice Thompson (Stephen). Sister-in-law to Jack McLaren (Pat) and the late Don McLaren. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Audrey was a homemaker and a devoted farmers wife until she was widowed in 1983. Audrey enjoyed senior bus trips, playing euchre and going to dances with family and friends.
Friends and family are invited to visit at the Winchester Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 472 Main Street, Winchester, Ontario. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 10am – 12pm . Followed by a Service in the Chapel at 12 Noon. Burial to take place at Springhill Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr Hamilton and all the wonderful staff at The Dundas Manor who provided exceptional care over the last 6 years and in her final days. Donations to The Dundas Manor – Activity Fund would be gratefully accepted.
