We, the family of Joseph Arthur Aucoin, age 84, regret to announce his passing on June 28, 2024, at the Verdun Hospital, Montreal.
Born in Friar’s Head, NS, Joseph was the son of the late William Pepin and Mary Lucy (Arsenault) Aucoin.
Besides his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his wife, Rita, and siblings, Leo, Simon, Alex Joe, Gerald, Albert, Jean Laurent, Joseph Wilfred, and Theresa (Aucoin) Curry.
Joseph was a Montreal Canadiens fan and attended many games. He loved fiddle music and loved to come home to Cape Breton for a visit.
Joseph will be missed by all his nieces and nephews. Rest in peace until we meet again.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph du Moine Church, St. Joseph du Moine. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Donations in memory of Joseph may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
