Annie Zbytovsky Obituary
Annie was born August 15, 1927 on a homestead. She attended Queenston School and was the oldest of the children so she looked after her siblings for her mom, doing the cooking and cleaning after her mother got sick with Polio. Annie got married in 1950 and had 4 children. She was always busy cooking meals for many men that farmed and also kept busy gardening. Later in life Annie and Vincent enjoyed dancing and running all over the country in the summer and and cold winter storms to go dancing.
When Annie moved to town she enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting and going for coffee. She loved to go to the rink to watch Brydan play hockey. She was always on the phone to Sophie, her sister, for hours everyday. Ray and Elaine got her a cell phone so she could call anytime from anywhere and play card games on her phone. Her first phone bill was very high because she had used up lots of time playing games, so her kids had to get smart and increase the time she had to play her games. She really enjoyed her phone and for the last while was having troubles but would still call and talk every night.
Her family remembers all the good times on family camping trips, fishing, gambling in Vegas and lots of trips to BC.
Annie is lovingly remembered by Chris (Lori) of Saskatoon, son and daughter Jason and Cara, Chris’ previous family Jay, Theresa, Steven; Elaine (Ray) of Neilburg and their sons Tim and Tyler;
Linda (deceased) of Edmonton and family Donna and Vince; Richard (Brenda) and family Brydan; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
Annie was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Vincent; her sisters Helen, Sophie and Lily; her brother Mike; daughter Linda in 2006; and great-grandson Noah in 2020.
Annie Zbytovsky passed away on September 26, 2024 in Unity, SK. A Funeral Service for Annie will be held Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 10:30AM at Unity United Church.
