Annie’s Obituary
It is with deep sadness we announce that on April 7, 2024, in McLennan Alberta, at the age of 89, Annie Trotter (nee: Glogowski) passed away. Annie will be dearly missed by her extensive loving family of surviving nieces, nephews, their families; her step-children, their families, and numerous international exchange students that Annie hosted over the years; as well as a town full of truly beloved lifelong friends.
Annie is predeceased by her parents Katie and Nick Glogowski; loving husband Wilfred “Bill” Trotter; older brother Walter (+Erika); older sister Maria (1st +Wladyslaw Goryluk; 2nd +Phillip Chernetski); and extended family members in Europe and North America.
Annie’s great love was to share of herself, her time, her skills and her joy with the people of McLennan, and many furry friends she cared for over the years. Her countless hours of volunteering were spent on Town Council, at the second-hand store for the benefit of the Manoir du Lac – Continuing Care Services, and helping organizations dear to her heart, to name a few: The Royal Purple Elks, Lake View Pioneer Society, Meals-On-Wheels, Bird Walk and N.A.R Museum.
Annie Trotter was born and spend her childhood on a farm near High Prairie. She fell in love with the town of McLennan where she lived a full and beautiful life, and where she will be laid to rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, Annie wished for donations to be made to the In the Woods Animal Rescue (www.inthewoods.com), and Peace Region SPCA (www.peaceregionalspca.com)
