MARIER, ANNE (1937-2024)
It is with heavy hearts and immense sadness that we share the passing of Anne (Annie) Marier (née Pilon,) who passed away at her home, February 16, 2024, at the age of 86 years.
Loving wife of the late Donald Marier.
Dear mother of Carole McGarry (Bruce) of Garson and Raymond Marier (Cathy) of Warren.
Nana will be missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Ryan (Tessa) of Sudbury, Devon (Amber) of Garson, Keenan (Caity) of Garson, as well as her great grandchildren Faith and Aubree.
Anne Marier was born in Sudbury, on August 17, 1937. She is the daughter of the late Léger and the late May Pilon.
Survived by her sister Claire Chenard of Sudbury. Predeceased by her siblings, Véronique, Aiméa, Marguerite, Cyril, and Rosaire.
She will be missed by her four-legged friend Blue.
Anne worked at Walmart (started at Woolworth’s then Woolco) for over 30-years. Her favorite pastimes were shopping and painting, and she especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
The family wishes to acknowledge and say thank you to the dedicated staff at St. Joseph Villa for the care and compassion shown to her and her family during the years.
