It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Anna Guercio on December 27th, 2023 at the age of 91. She will now be reunited together again with her loving husband Antonio. Anna was born on August 4th, 1932 in Palermo, Sicily, Italy. She got married in Italy in 1960 and began their life together in Switzerland, had two children and soon after immigrated to Toronto, Canada, in 1965.
She was devoted and loving mother to her children Rosalba (Dino), and Filippo (Clorinda) who were her everything. Very proud nonna to her beautiful grandchildren she called “I Miei Gioielli” David (Muriel), Melissa (Dylan), Amanda (Anthony) and Anthony. Bisnonna to her giuiellini Sebastian, Adriana, and Christopher.
She was a cherished sister to Giovanna (Sebastiano), Vittoria (late Elio) and is reunited with her brother Michele (Dora) and sisters Maria (late Giuseppe), Lucrezia, Stella and Benedetta who have passed before her.
If so desired, donations may be made to Hospital for Sick Kids.
Visitations for Anna have been entrusted to the DeMarco Funeral Home – Woodbridge Chapel (8003 Weston Road. 905.850.9500) and will commence on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, from 2: 00 – 4:00 p.m & 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on, Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. and conducted at Immaculate Conception Parish (300 Ansley Grove Road., Woodbridge, On.) an Entombment service to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (7300 Hwy #27, Woodbridge, On.)
