The family of Darlene are heartbroken to announce her sudden passing on August 30th 2024, at the age of 66.
Darlene was predeceased by her husband and partner of 50+ years, Clifford. She will be deeply missed by her children – Bobbi-Jo, Jaymi-Jo & Cliff (Vikki). Darlene was also a proud Nana to grandchildren: Jenica (Moe), Jenna, Allison, Blake, Emily & Avery.
Darlene was born in North York, Ontario to Anne & Dave Williams. Being the 2nd eldest of 5 children, Darlene was a cherished sister to David (Debbie), Donald (Kim), Shirley (Scott) & Dwayne (Carrie).
Growing up in the Oshawa area, Darlene met her husband Cliff at the age of 13. Once married, they purchased Darlene’s childhood home where they settled and raised their own children.
In her spare time, Darlene enjoyed Folk Art painting, international travel and road trips on Cliff’s Harley Davidson motorcycle – often with their best friends Maria & John McAdam.
Known for her gentle nature and ability to make others laugh, Darlene put others at ease with her genuine & heartfelt smile.
Over the years, Darlene battled many health issues and through it all, she showed tremendous strength & courage.
Darlene will be incredibly missed by her extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lakeridge Health Oshawa – Critical Care Team as well as their entire Dialysis Unit for the exceptional care shown.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 20th 2024 at the Glenn Steward Park Community Centre in Oshawa, Ont. from 12PM – 5PM.
