It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Amedeo Dicarlantonio in his home, surrounded by his beloved family, on May 27, 2024, at the age of 82.
Amedeo was the adored husband of Liberata Dicarlantonio. He was the devoted father of Salvatore (Renata) Dicarlantonio, Beatrice (William) Bento, and Giovannina (Mark) Guilherme, and a proud grandfather to Melissa, Christian, José, and Sophie-Elle. Amedeo is predeceased by his caring siblings and remembered by their loving Wives.
Amedeo found joy in tending to his tomato garden and relished celebrating life’s milestones with his family and friends—to whom he was known as Mike—creating memories that will be cherished forever. His home was a haven of love, hospitality, and warmth, where he welcomed everyone with a caring smile.
He will be deeply missed with a legacy of kindness and generosity that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Visitation will be held at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 21 First St., Orangeville on Thursday, May 30th, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:45 am. Funeral Service will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church 42 Dawson Road Orangeville, on Thursday, May 30th, 2024 at 12:00 pm.
Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery – Reception to follow at the Dods & McNair Reception Centre. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Amedeo in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville. 22nd Annual Dedication Service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
