Allan Robert Causey
May 26, 1935 – July 18, 2023.
1935 was a good year in Trail B.C.
When Grace (nee) Shiell and Jack Causey gave the world the worlds best husband, friend, world-class nuclear scientist, Boy Scout leader, hockey player, hockey coach, Sunday School teacher and father.
He moved on to Vancouver, where he met and married mom, Elizabeth Anne Hudson, (53 beautiful years together) went to university with a full UBC scholarship and after graduating at the top of his class, was hired by Corning Glassworks.
After 5 years there he came back to Canada and settled in Deep River, Ontario, where he worked at AECL for over 30 years, doing nuclear research.
The whole time, family was all.
He devoted everything to his loving wife Elizabeth, and their children Michael, Shannon and Patrick.
Camping, Chinese food cooking, Saturday long family drives around the countryside…
July 19, 2023 was the day Allan Robert Causey left for his eternal journey through time and the universe. He passed away peacefully in his sleep under the compassionate care of the Deep River hospital staff. Thank you caregivers. Going on to reunite with his cherished wife Elizabeth. He was blessed with 88 years of wonderful, love filled life.
Time is truly the greatest gift in the universe.
Dad, we love you… now and forever.
P.S. To my brilliant brother Patrick and his strong beautiful wife Jennifer, and my smart, compassionate doctor/little sister Shannon and her fine husband Pete, and your families, Jacob and Sarah and Hudson, Noelle and Ava I thank you for your love for dad and everything you have given to help make his days go by.
We are all better because of dad.

In memory of Allan, donations to the Deep River and District Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
Allan’s family will receive friends at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Saturday, July 29 from 1-3 p.m.
