Obituary of Alice Joudrey
It is with great sadness we announce the death of Alice Joudrey, 79, of Westville on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland on December 26, 1943, she was a daughter of the late David and Alice Maxwell.
Alice had worked at The Aberdeen Hospital for over 30 years until retirement. She enjoyed music, especially karaoke, cards and travelling. However her greatest enjoyment was visits from her grandchildren and great grand children.
She will be dearly missed by her partner Bob Cameron; sons Kevin (Charlene) Joudrey, Westville; Steven (Stacy) Joudrey, Westville; grandchildren, Natasha and Kanda; Mandy, Justin, Marlee, and Anika; Andrew and Kourtnee; and Austin; great-grandchildren, Jared, Joshua, Jenna, Nevaeh, Andrew, Lucas, Chasity, J.D., Peyton, Avery, Brayden.
She is also survived by two sisters Heather (Terry) McGlynn and Audrey Fraser ; son-in-law Will Nowotczynski; brothers-in-law Willard (Diane) Joudrey and Bob Stewart and close friends Ashley, Cheryl and Kay.
She was predeceased by her husband Earl; daughter Catherine “Cathy” Nowotczynski; son Martin; grand-daughter Frankie; brother David; sister Linda; niece Karen and mother and father- in-law Willard and Kay Joudrey, sisters-in-law Sharon Ann Arnold and Irene Stewart.
Visitations will be held on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service will be held 1 o’clock Sunday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
