Alice “Rosemary” McMahan – age 77, of Knoxville gained her Angel Wings on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. She was a long-time member of Marbledale Church of God and in later years, Eastmore Church of God. Rosemary never missed a family birthday and always called her loved ones to wish them a “Happy Birthday” on their special day. Her passing will leave a huge void in those upcoming birthdays for many years to come. Rosemary was loved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed.
Preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Riley (R.L.) McMahan; parents, Harold and Chole Armstrong; brothers, Bob (Marybeth) Armstrong, Jack (Carolyn) Armstrong, “Toad” Armstrong, and George (Sally) Armstrong.
Survived by nieces and nephews, Joni Spoon, Dena Smith, Tonya Hall, Greg Armstrong, Jeff Armstrong, Wendall Armstrong, Tony Armstrong, David Armstrong, Phil Armstrong, Tim Armstrong, and Jason Armstrong; sister-in-law, Joyce Armstrong; great niece, Lynna Doane and a host of other family members and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Smoky Mountain Hospice on Strawberry Plains Pike for the love and care of Rosemary and her family.
Family and friends will meet 10:45 AM, Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Greenwood Cemetery for an 11:00 AM graveside service and burial with Chaplain Kim Robinson of Smoky Mountain Hospice officiating.
