It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Alice Threadgold at Ponoka Hospital on August 18, 2024 at the age of 95 years.
She brought light and joy to all those around her. She embraced life’s adventures with open arms, cherishing every moment spent exploring new destinations alongside her beloved daughter, Lynnda. From the sun-kissed shores of California to the vibrant landscapes of Mexico, and the picturesque beauty found across Canada, she treasured the experiences shared during their travels. Cruises held a special place in her heart, allowing her to revel in the wonders of the world while creating lasting memories with her cherished companion.
Her love for family gatherings was evident in the warmth of her presence at BBQs and wiener roasts, where laughter and camaraderie filled the air. These moments together were a testament to her unwavering bond with her family, a bond nurtured by love and shared experiences.
With a green thumb that seemed to work magic, she found solace and joy in the art of gardening. Her passion for tending to plants and flowers transformed her surroundings into vibrant sanctuaries of beauty and tranquility. Through her green thumb, she connected with the earth and cultivated a sense of peace that resonated with all who knew her.
Alice is lovingly remembered by her children, Deborah, Randy and Karen (Alan); grandchildren, Cindy, Amy, Dana, Allen (Joanne), Sheri (Trevor), Raylene, Morgan, Randy, Steven and Michael; sister, Margaret; sister-in-law, Kay, as well as numerous great-grandchildren and extended family.
Alice is predeceased by her son, Rick; daughter, Lynnda; granddaughters, Wendy and Melissa; great-grandson, James; brother, Tony and parents, Jeanne and Henri.
Her spirit of adventure, love for family, and nurturing touch will forever be treasured by those whose lives she graced. Though she may have bid farewell to this world, her legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the radiant presence she brought to our lives.
