Albina Boaro Obituary
Our beloved mother Albina Boaro passed away peacefully at North Bay Hospital on Monday, July 15, 2024, at the age of 90. Albina was predeceased by her husband Ilario (2021) and is survived by her four children, Rose Boaro, Loretta Hepburn (Brian),
John Boaro (Kim) and Nancy Boaro. Grandmother of Heather, Melanie, Amy, Jessica, Kristopher, Justin and Adam. Great-grandmother to Caitlyn, Ethan, McKenzie and Saphira.
Albina was born into a large family in Italy on April 17, 1934. She immigrated to Canada in 1957 and was married to Ilario Boaro on August 24, 1957 at St. Rita’s Church in North Bay. She was happily married for 64 years before Ilario’s passing in October 2021.
Albina was a kind, gentle and loving person. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and spent the balance of her life as a homemaker and seamstress. She excelled at cooking, embroidery, knitting, crocheting and sewing. Later in life, she became a wonderful quilter and enjoyed making custom quilts for her family. She loved gardening and flowers and was skilled at cultivating them. Mom had an amazing smile and loved to laugh. She treasured being with her family and enjoyed watching old movies and especially comedies.
We will love you always mom. Rest in peace.
The family would like to thank the staff at North Bay Regional Health Center D3 and C3 and Cassellholme (Olive St.).
Family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Saturday, July 20, 2024, between the hours of 10:00am and 11:30am with the funeral service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:00pm. Entombment at the All Saints Mausoleum will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
