1941 – 2024
After a brief illness, valiantly fought, Albert passed, on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the age of 82. Loving husband of Eloise (née Samuels) for 33 years. Devoted father of Rena and Jenna. Dear brother-in-law of Clifford and Janet Samuels. Beloved son of the late Jacob Aaron and Esther Malka (née Yellin). Beloved brother of the late Reuven. Albert’s memory will always be cherished by his family, cousins, extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the outstanding Doctors, Nurses, and PCAs of the Ottawa General Hospital 5 east and Monfort Hospital 4A for their outstanding care and compassion.
Albert was a private person. He was a very social person and enjoyed talking to people. He loved pursuing education and learning even after he retired from teaching for over 30 years. Albert loved to read and instilled that passion in his daughters. He always had a joke to tell that made people smile. He was a wonderful father and caring husband. Albert made sure that his daughters had a good Jewish education, and he attended Shul on a regular basis.
Funeral service at the Ottawa Chevra Kadisha Chapel (1771 Cuba Avenue) on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 1:00pm. Burial at the Jewish Memorial Gardens cemetery – Bank Street (2692 Bank Street).
