Adam Persi, a respected lawyer and cherished family man, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024, at the age of 38. Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Adam’s journey was one marked by dedication, passion, and the love he had for those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elena; his beloved puppies, Luna and Loki; his devoted mother, Yvette, and his father, Alex, whose guidance and support shaped him into the man he became.
Adam’s academic prowess shone brightly from a young age, leading him to graduate with distinction from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts in 2009. His thirst for knowledge and his commitment to justice propelled him to complete his Juris Doctor in 2013, from the same esteemed institution. A year later, in 2014, he was proudly admitted to the Bar in Edmonton, Alberta, setting the stage for a successful legal career.
As a lawyer, Adam quickly established himself as a cornerstone of Emery Jamieson LLP. Specializing in corporate law and business services, his sharp intellect and unwavering ethics earned him the trust and respect of his colleagues and clients alike. His ascent within the firm was swift and well-deserved, culminating in his promotion to partner in 2021. Adam’s professional legacy is characterized by the numerous businesses and individuals he guided through complex legal landscapes with skill and care.
In addition to his professional commitments, Adam had a rich and full personal life. He was an avid photographer, capturing life’s fleeting moments with a keen eye for beauty. His love of travel took him to far-flung corners of the globe, where he indulged in his passion for experiencing new cultures and cuisines. Closer to home, Adam was a connoisseur of Edmonton’s burgeoning restaurant scene and an enthusiastic gamer, relishing the challenge and camaraderie found in virtual worlds.
He was a partner, son, colleague and friend whose generosity and warmth were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Adam’s impact on the world was profound, not through grand gestures, but through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, his laughter, and his unwavering sense of justice. Though his time with us was cut short, Adam’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the positive changes he affected in the world. His loving spirit, his dedication, and his zest for life, will all continue to inspire us for years to come. We take comfort in knowing that his legacy will endure, just as the memories of his remarkable life will remain a cherished treasure for his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Connelly-McKinley Edmonton South Funeral Home, 4820 Meridian Street, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations in Adam’s name may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
