Obituary
McLellan, Adair Robert – 71, River Philip, passed away peacefully at home with family on May 20th, 2024. Born in River Philip, he was a son of Jean (Casey) McLellan Mitchell and the late Donald McLellan. Adair was always known as one of the funniest people in the room with his quick wit and charm, and the ability to get along with everyone. He was a man of integrity and stood up for what he believed in. He was a family man who loved his children and grandchildren with all of his heart. He was a partner and loving husband for 42 years and a wonderful father for 37 years. Adair spent his early working years in finance. He then worked in the aquaculture industry for many years and later in Northern Alberta. In his opinion, the most important role he had was Papa. He did not take this for granted, and was very active in his grandchildren’s lives. He is survived by his wife, Kim; son, Josh; daughter, Julie; grandchildren, Jemma and Wesley; mother, Jean; sister, Donna (John); brother, Ben (Heather). Adair will be missed by his friends and family, but we know he is at peace. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 6-8 pm on Friday, May 31 in MacDiarmid’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Oxford.
