Everyone that knew our mother would testify to the following:
First, mom was passionate about her relationship with Jesus Christ! She attended Woodstock Wesleyan Church and raised us kids in the church. Our mother was so much fun! She loved to “run the roads” and she was known to have “the gift to gab.” She was unashamed to dance in public, borrow cell phones from strangers, and when she wasn’t at a Mardens (“Martins”) or TJ Maxx buying something, she was at the same store three days later, returning something! Our mother loved Christmas! She loved to decorate, go shopping, cooking goodies, and give gifts. She was very generous unless we were playing “yankee swap!” “Kids!” applied to everyone she met, despite their age or stature. She was known to “get up” skits at church, and songs at parties, and she could get the most conservative churchgoer to dance to her favorite “country & western tune. Mom loved her family. Kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She was a kid herself. Do not let her loose on a jet ski! She was even known to tube at the lake late into her 60’s. She was a big kid at heart.
Although those of us who know and love her will miss her terribly, we know that she is at peace with the Lord and she is enjoying heaven with our dad, who loves her dearly. We know we will see her again and will spend eternity together. For this, we cannot wait.
