It is with great sadness that the family of Gerald (Gerry) Delbert Cheslock, born August 1, 1931, announce the peaceful passing , at the age of 93, of a wonderful and caring man, at La Maison des Collines Palliative Care Home in Wakefield, Quebec.
He is survived by his loving, devoted wife and best friend of 67 years, Norma ; cherished father to Deborah (Terry) and Christopher (Rachel ); a devoted grandfather (Poppa) to Peter (Melissa), Casandra (Marc Andre), Douglas and Nicholas, and a doting great grandfather to Brayden and Theo.
Gerry was a remarkable person who touched the lives of everyone he met. His kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family, friends and community has made a profound impact on all of us. He will be greatly missed by all and will forever be in our hearts. He will continue to watch out for us , guide us and keep us safe, from his final resting place .
His family would also like to thank the wonderful, caring, and compassionate staff, nurses and doctors of La Maison des Collines for their excellent care during his short residency.
There will be no public visitation or service.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around you and whispered “Come to me”
With tearful eyes we watched you as you slowly slipped away
And though we loved you dearly, we couldn’t make you stay
Your golden heart stopped beating , your tired hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
