Obituary of Pamela Fleming
Pamela Fleming (nee Cormier) passed away peacefully at Columbia House, Invermere, BC, at the age of 67 years after a long battle with illness.
Pam was born on 05 January 1956 on a Canadian Air Force base in Germany. She was raised all over the country, eventually landing in Canal Flats, BC. She moved from there as a young teen to pursue a good life, where she met the father of her three children in Vancouver. They relocated to Winnipeg, Calgary, then again to Canal Flats, so she could be closer to her family. Pam eventually moved to Cranbrook to raise her children on her own. She was an LPN who later earned her diploma in Business & Finance. She also owned a couple of restaurants, where people loved her cooking!
Pam loved her family tremendously, was fiercely devoted to her husband, and was enormously proud of her children. Pam loved all her little dogs. The cats she could do without, but did love her little dogs. She loved to sit around a kitchen table, coffee in hand, and have a good chat session. She loved to chat!
She is survived by her husband Jim Fleming (Kevin); her children Michael, Angelica, Crystal (Michael), and her only grandchild, Zion. She is also survived by her sister Susan (Les), Daniel (Larissa), Brian, and Jodi (Lundy). She had a “sister by choice” in Margaret (Kevin), who was her best friend throughout all the troubles Pam went through. She had a spark to live, that surprised everyone around her. She just wouldn’t give up. Towards the end of her life, her caretaker, Theresa (Don) provided incredible support and love. She is predeceased by her mother & step father (Joyce & David Lum ), her father (Martin Cormier), her older sister (Debra), and her younger sister (Janet).
Pam will be remembered by those who loved her as tough, honest, intelligent, and loyal to her family.
