Tommy Catlett, age 92, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 01, 2024. Born to Bessie and Amos Catlett, Tom grew up in South Knoxville and played high school and college football. He was retired from BellSouth as a cable repairman and was a proud United States Army Korean War Veteran. Tom later married his soulmate, Miss Vera Jo Miller, to whom he was married for 65 years and had one child together, Chuck Catlett.
Tom enjoyed telling stories about his work and co-workers. He is best known for his quick-witted humor and loved playing practical jokes on his friends and shared many of those stories. Tom enjoyed spending time outdoors feeding the birds and the squirrels and loved Tennessee football.
Preceded in death by his wife, Vera Jo Catlett; parents, Amos and Bessie Catlett.
Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Kathi Catlett; grandson, Richard Huffaker; nieces and nephews and special family caregiver, Misse McCullouch.

Tom was a member of Redemption Church. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Redemption Church, 3550 Pleasant Ridge Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37921.
