Winston Calvin Roberts Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Winston Calvin Roberts of Botwood, NL announce his passing on January 28th 2024, at the age of 81 years.
Predeceased by his parents Clyde and Florence Roberts; brothers Harry, Wallace, and Alliston; sisters Gertrude and Winifred.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years Marion; children Loretta, Murray (Desireé), Lisa (Todd), and Andrew (Erin); grandchildren Tim, Chris, Stephen, Meaghan, Amy, Brianna, Olivia, and Emma; great-grandchildren Kailey, Leigha, and Cole; brothers Bob, (Margaret) and Claude and sister Pearl (Selwyn).
Winston was born in Hermitage, NL on April 8, 1942. He led a life of public service, first teaching at Grole, followed by 35 years with Fisheries and Oceans. Winston was very active in the community and took on various roles within the Anglican Church. He was a Past President of the Lion’s Club and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Funeral services will be held on Friday February 2nd 2024, 1:00pm at St. James Anglican Church in Botwood, NL. Reverend Cindy Graham will be officiating; interment will follow at Botwood Community Cemetery.
Friends and family may attend the viewing at Hoskins Funeral Home in Botwood NL on Thursday February 1st. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
