It is with broken hearts that the family
of Steven Andrew Leslie announce his
passing, at age 58, of Five Islands. Steve passed away at home on
Friday December 8, 2023.
Born in Truro, he was a son of Joan
(Field) Leslie and the late Allen Leslie.
From a young age, he had an adventurous
spirit, loved the outdoors, and being on the water. He loved anything
with a motor and spent his younger years snowmobiling, driving
motorcycles, and fixing up old cars. He had a knack for building
things from scratch, having built numerous sawmills, a skidder, go
carts, rebuilding boats, or anything he set his mind to. He was a man
of many interests and talents, such as lobster fishing on the Fundy
Mermaid, and logging. In 2018, he proudly received his red seal in
Motor Vehicle Body Repair from NSCC while working at Nova Enterprises
Truck Centre.
Steve was kind, patient and generous,
often lending a helping hand to those in need. He was a proud and
incredible father who enjoyed his time with his daughter, regardless
of what they were doing. To him and her, every moment was
special.
During the last year his time was spent
enjoying his family, pets, motorbiking, and working on the family
home. He leaves behind many wonderful memories, full of laughter,
funny stories, and a tremendous amount of love and respect for his
loved ones to keep in their hearts forever.
Steve will be dearly missed by his wife
and best friend, Jackey (Jacquelene Milner) and pride and joy,
daughter Amie (Chris). He is survived by his mother Joan, brother Jim,
sister Maryann, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and
friends.
He was predeceased by father,
Allen.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St.,
Springhill, NS (902-597-2361). There will be no services at this time
to honor his request.
Donations in memory of Steven may be
made to local animal or homeless shelters, both important causes to
his heart.
