COATES, Doreen Bertha (nee Moffatt)
Passed away peacefully in Ottawa on July 30, 2023, at the age of 90.
She was predeceased by her husband the late Colan Coates and her parents the late Edna & Ben Moffatt and her sister the late Shirley Mahanna whom she joins in rest.
She is survived by her children Monty (Karen) of Ottawa, Caroline (Brian) of Ottawa, and Bradley (Judy) of Aurora, as well as two grandchildren Chris and Katie, her sister in laws and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and internment will take place on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023 @ 11 am at Pine Hill Cemetery, 933 Rue des Pins, Magog, Quebec. We will gather to remember our wonderful Mother, Aunt, Sister-in-Law, and Friend who passed away on her 90th birthday and is greatly missed.
A reception and lunch will be held immediately following at the Espace 4 Saisons, 4940 Chemin du Parc, Orford, Quebec. Please bring your fondest memories of Doreen to share with family and friends.
She will be forever loved and missed.
For those wishing, a donation to The Glebe Centre, 77 Monk Street, Ottawa, On K1S 5A7 (glebecentre.ca) would be appreciated. She received wonderful care from their staff during the last few years of her life.
