WHYNOT – Jordan A., 80, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Friday, September 23, 2022.
Born in Liverpool, Jordan was a son of the late Herbert and Olive (Foster) Whynot.
Jordan delivered telegraphs in his younger years and worked at C.W. McLeod’s Fisheries. He drove the mail truck for both Wayne Whynot and Charlie Giffin and worked as a handyman for the Department of Community Services.
Jordan is survived by his wife Catherine “Ninny” Foster; his daughter Angela (Dean) Wamboldt of Milton and his sons Timothy of Liverpool and Michael . His grandchildren Kim (Steven) Moulton and Julie (Michael) Whynot, his great grandchildren Jordan and Emma, Tyler, Tenesha and Tyson, his great great grandchildren Logan, Lucas, Liam, Lincoln, Levi, Lance and Eli and Bailey. His brothers Elwood (Paula), Irving (Jeanette) and Cecil (Lucille) all of Milton.
Besides his parents, Jordan was predeceased by his daughter in law Brenda Whynot; sisters Mary, Doris, Kay “Blackie”, Betty “Hun” and Mary “Midge” and his brothers Roger, Ronald “Ting” and Herbert “Juny”
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. At Jordan’s request, there will be no funeral service at this time. Donations may be made to the IWK Hospital. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
