It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Thomas Joseph Hedderson announce his sudden and untimely passing on Monday, August 8, 2022, at the age of 68. His devotion to his family was unyielding. His virtues of patience, understanding, gentleness and kindness will always be remembered. Tom was a Teacher, Principal, Member of House of Assembly and Cabinet Minister.
Tom was predeceased by his wife Rosemary Hedderson (Conway), parents Bernard and Josephine (nee Philpott), brothers Thomas, Jim, Michael, Frank (Mildred), Bill, and Bernard, sisters Anna, Nell, Bess, Peggy, Bernadette, Mary and Patricia.
Tom will be remembered with loving memories by his current wife Carol, Tom’s daughter’s Christa (husband Shannon) and Julia (husband Blake), Carol’s daughter Krista (husband Ian) and son Mark (partner Chantal), their precious grandchildren Kate, James, soon to be born baby girl Schumann, Parker, and Sawyer.
Tom will be remembered with loving memories by his brothers Mike (Nancy), Ed (Gladys) and John (Maxine), Sisters Joan (Bernie) and Cecilia (Ernest), Brothers-in-Law, Lee, Rick (Betty) and Paul (Annesta), Sisters-in-Law Helen (John) and Jude (Rolf), as well as many nieces and nephews and close friends whom he cherished.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, Wednesday, August 10th, 2022, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Visitation at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus, Friday, August 12th, 2022, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place from St. Patrick’s Church, Brigus, Saturday, August 13th, 2022, at 10 a.m. Inurnment to follow, R.C. Cemetery in Brigus.
