Obituary of Theresa Monaghan
MONAGHAN, Theresa Lorraine.
Theresa passed away peacefully after a long and happy life at the age of 95. Loving sister of Joan Ball and sister-in-law of Bernice Monaghan. Preceded by her parents, Joseph and Mabel Monaghan (Finnegan), and her sisters Margaret Sobisch (Bob), Rosemary Tyler (John), and brothers Eugene (Mary Jane), James, and brother-in-law James Ball.
Aunt Teedie will be sorely missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Theresa worked in business administration for the CBC in Ottawa and Toronto, and at Electrohome in Kitchener. She was an active volunteer for a number of organizations, including as a braille translator. She was honoured by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton with the Mission Legacy Award for her 54 years of volunteer service with the St. Mary’s Hospital Volunteer Association.
A private memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Waterloo followed by interment in Woodland Cemetery, Kitchener. Special thanks to the caring staff at Beechwood Manor in Waterloo.
