It is with great sadness that the family of (Terry) Terrance Alton Peter Murphy announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, NL at the age of 70 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Rose of forty-eight years; his five children: Terrance, Bernadette Cranford(Duane), Joey (Sherene), Roxanne Vail (Stephen), Brian (Jeff); grandchildren: Alexandria, Taylor Anne, Tyler, Cheyenne, Kassandra, Dawson, Keiran, Madison, David, Lexie, Cody; great-grandchildren: Addilynn, Hera; brothers: Brian (Tessy), Gary (Crystal), Bruce (Lynn); sisters: Judy Penney (Gordon), Lisa Wheeler (Daryl); brother in-law Buck Lyver; sister-in-law Sue Murphy, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, brother and sister in-laws, other relatives, and friends. Terry was predeceased by his parents Peter and Anita Murphy, sister Dianne Lyver, brother Tony, and grandson Xavier Vail.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Medicine Ward along with the Stephenville Community Medical Clinic. Their care and compassion will be forever remembered.
In honor of Terry’s wishes, friends may visit Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Dr., Stephenville on Tuesday, January 25th from 2 – 4 PM and 7-9 PM. Following cremation, the funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 27th at 10 AM from St. Stephen’s Parish, 78 West Street to a maximum of 50 people. Due to Covid-19 regulations vaccine passports, ID and face masks are required for both visitation and funeral services. Interment to follow at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery- Hansen Highway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made as expressions of sympathy to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The visitation at the Funeral Home will be a drive-up visitation with one household bubble at a time. When it is your turn you will drive to the center doors and visit with the family. Please be mindful of your time with the family as there will be other bubbles waiting their turn to visit.
