It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susie Louisa Kelly on Saturday May 7, 2022, after a short struggle with ALS.
She is survived by her children Candice (Mike), Erin, Andrew (Lisa), Brendan (Teresa), Liam, Nolan (Kinsey) and Grandchildren, Emily, Joshua, Elora, Luke, Siobhan, Austin, Valentine, Kurtis, Garett, Ethan, Quinlan, Georgia, and Bennett. As well as her brothers Duncan, Myles, Broderick, Barry and their families. She was preceded by her parents, her brother Danny and her son Cameron.
Born in Mission BC, Susie spent much of her life in the scenic Kootenays, before returning to the Lower Mainland, then settling in Logan Lake, and Kamloops.
Susie approached life with a distinct sense of fun; she loved learning, receiving both a Diploma of Technology in Chemical Sciences and her Assayer Training Certificate from BCIT. She liked sharing her knowledge with others by providing demo’s during the many open house tours of the Assay Lab at Highland Valley Copper.
She enjoyed reading and watching TV. Everyone had a favorite show to watch with her.
A special thank you to all the caring people who helped through Kamloops Palliative Care, Dr. Lesch and Marisa, as well as the team at the ALS Center at GF Strong in Vancouver.
Susie was loved and will be deeply missed.
